Behind the Scenes: The Gift of Community

My business is seasonal. There are slower seasons and busier seasons. And then there is the Holiday Season.

You think you’re busy during the holidays? How about having 50% of your sales (a.k.a. 50% of our family income) happen during the six weeks leading up to Christmas? You know … along with school programs, Christmas parties, church events, shopping, cooking, decorating and wrapping and all the other holiday bustle.

Because of my home-based business, November and December in our house is C.R.A.Z.Y.

Thankfully, our community is A.W.E.S.O.M.E.

We are relatively new to Idaho Falls. We moved here in March, so this is my first Holiday Season here. In the past when we lived in Colorado Springs, my sister, my mom and a couple friends have jumped in to help with the looooong days and hundreds of orders.

But now we’re in a new city.

Having my new community jump in to help me is a wonderful gift!

Merry Christmas, indeed.
